Atlantic city blackjack
This blackjack variation is played with a shoe with 8 card decks. The dealer must stand on soft 17 – like an Ace and six. Players are allowed to double on first two cards and right after split. Even splits can be re-split – player may get 3 hands in total. Before the hand continues, the dealer checks for Blackjack and late surrender is allowed. House edge in Atlantic City blackjack is 0.35%.
European blackjack
This blackjack variation is played with two decks. The dealer must stand on soft 17. In european blackjack players can only double down on 11 and 9.. This can be a limitation for highly agressive players who are fond of doubling up when the dealer has 6 or 5 as his face up card. Players are not allowed to split anymore after splitting and they also can’t double down on a split. The house edge is 0.39% and players can’t surrender.
Double Exposure blackjack
Many people like to play this blackjack variation because they think that they have an advantage over the house. Both dealer cards are dealt face up at the beginning of the game. The dealer wins all the ties except Blackjack and Blackjack only pays even money(there s no bonus fir blackjack like in other variations). It is played with a shoe of 8 card decks. PLayers are allowed to re-split what allows to form four separate hands. Playres are allowed to double down only on hard 9 or 11. Also, if a player splits aces, he gets one final card on each. The house edge is 0.69%.
